Yes, the pseudo B12 in all Algae (Spirulina) causes our B12 receptors to close up, preventing the absorption of the unrecognized version.
It takes 2-3 hours for the receptors to reopen.
Taking B12 supplements at least 4 hours apart from consuming Spirulina is essential.
Some supplemental B-12 could be absorbed during this time; however, blood tests show a significant decrease in B12 in all our tests during fasting.
